SEATTLE —

With daylight Friday the search is resuming for a skydiver missing since he jumped out of a helicopter near Mount Si, in the Cascade foothills east of Seattle.

The King County sheriff's office says three men were taking turns jumping out of the chartered copter Thursday while the others waited at the landing zone.

The pilot said the man jumped about 2:30 p.m. at an altitude of 6,500 feet. He failed to show up at the landing zone and no one saw a parachute. About 75 members of the sheriff's search and rescue team looked for the man until dark.

Sgt. Cindi West says the 29-year-old missing man is from Florida.
