The King County Sheriff's Office says a skydiver has been reported missing in the Cascade foothills east of Seattle.

Sgt. Cindi West says search and rescue teams are in route. The helicopter pilot reported that the skydiver had made a jump from about 2,000 feet near Mount Si (SY') on Wednesday afternoon, but never showed up at the landing site. The pilot didn't know whether the skydiver's parachute had opened.
