A man who sold heroin from his cowboy boot store in Tacoma has been sentenced to a decade in federal prison.

Marcos Araujo Urrieta kept the drugs hidden above the bathroom ceiling at his shop, Zapateria Tarascos. Agents who raided the store in 2011 found four pounds of the drug and an office desk packed with $250,000 in cash.

The 47-year-old Mexico native pleaded guilty last September to heroin distribution conspiracy. His lawyers say he only turned to drug trafficking because his store was having trouble making ends meet in a tough economy.

He was sentenced on Wednesday by U.S. District Judge Benjamin Settle.
