STILLWATER, Okla. —

Oklahoma State's New Year's Eve matchup against No. 14 Gonzaga is looking like a sellout.

That's because billionaire oilman T. Boone Pickens bought up the remaining 4,000 tickets and will offer them for free to Cowboys fans.

Pickens, an OSU alumnus whose name graces the Cowboys' football stadium, says he hopes Oklahoma State fans will crowd the arena for the highly anticipated matchup.

Pickens says buying the tickets will "put a great exclamation point on a promising OSU basketball season."

Tickets will be available starting Wednesday at the OSU ticket office on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be a limit of six tickets per individual.
