AUBURN, Wash. —

A picket line went up Tuesday outside a distribution center in Auburn for the United Natural Foods company, which delivers organic foods to grocery stores.

The Teamsters Union says a contract with truck drivers expired in May and the union rejected the last offer over the weekend. Spokeswoman Brenda Weist with Local 117 told KOMO ( http://is.gd/p44XbV) the strikers hope to bring the company back to the bargaining table.

The company has not commented on the strike.

United Natural Foods is based in Rhode Island. It's website says it distributes more than 65,000 products to more than 27,000 locations throughout the United States and Canada.
