DULUTH, Minn. —

Wade Bergman's third-period goal lifted Minnesota-Duluth to a 2-1 Western Collegiate Hockey Association win over St. Cloud State.

Bergman scored at 3:55 of the third period on Friday to snap a 1-1 tie and Aaron Crandall made nine of his 27 saves in the third period for the Bulldogs (3-6-2, 1-4-2), who are 5-0-1 in their last six home games.

St. Cloud State (6-5-0, 4-3-0) took the early lead on Kalle Kossila's goal just 5:26 into the game.

UMD's Tony Cameranesi tied it late in the second period, and Bergman's power-play goal broke the tie.

Ryan Faragher stopped 13 of his 27 shots in the third period.
