ANCHORAGE, Alaska —

Passengers on Alaska Airlines will have more chances to plug in as they travel.

The company says it has installed 200 new electrical outlets at its airport gates in Anchorage, Seattle and Portland.

The outlets are aimed at passengers who want to charge smartphones and other mobile devices.

The Anchorage Daily News (http://bit.ly/10vc4IU) reports each outlet features a 120-volt plug-in and two USB ports.

Alaska Airlines says it has plans to install extra outlets at gates in other major airports.
