EVERETT, Wash. —

Cold case detectives have arrested a man in the slayings of two young women in 1995 in Everett.

The Snohomish County sheriff's office says 44-year-old Danny Ross Giles was arrested Friday at the Special Commitment Center on McNeil Island. He was being held for a sex offender commitment trial after serving a prison sentence or exposing himself in Seattle.

Giles has long been a suspect in the deaths of 22-year-old Tracey Brazzel and 26-year-old Pattie Berry. Brazzel is missing and presumed dead. Berry was found stabbed to death.

Giles was linked to the deaths through DNA tests and detectives have been building their case for a couple of years.

The Daily Herald reports (http://is.gd/7j9y6o) Giles was charged this week with two murder charges.
