FEDERAL WAY, Wash. —

Aviation gasoline from a fatal tanker truck fire continues to burn Monday more than 24 hours after the truck was involved in a collision on Interstate 5 at Federal Way.

Firefighters are letting the fire burn itself out.

The truck ran into a two-car crash about 2 a.m. Sunday in the southbound lanes of the freeway. The truck overturned off the freeway and 9,000 gallons of fuel caught fire.

The Washington State Patrol says the crash and fire killed the driver, 68-year-old Joseph Bartkowski of Sumner.

Troopers arrested a 21-year-old Renton man for investigation of vehicular homicide. They believe drugs or alcohol may have been involved.

Three women suffered minor injuries and were treated at a hospital in Federal Way.
