Divers outraged over Seattle octopus hunt
Some Seattle scuba divers are upset at two divers who pulled a giant Pacific octopus out of a popular dive spot within sight of the downtown skyline.

Some Seattle scuba divers are upset at two divers who pulled a giant Pacific octopus out of a popular dive spot within sight of the downtown skyline.
Bob Bailey and Scott Lundy say they saw the men wrestle the live octopus out of the water Wednesday and throw it writhing in the back of their pickup truck.
KOMO reports ( http://is.gd/Mg7prn) it was legal to hunt the octopus. But divers say Cove Two at West Seattle should be a protected sanctuary because of the number of divers who frequently visit known octopus sites in Elliott Bay.
A man who took the octopus declined to comment to KOMO, saying there have been threats made because of online postings.
