About 400 people registered Monday at the Spokane County elections office to vote in next Tuesday's election.
The Spokesman-Review reports ( http://is.gd/a3kM2S) that compares with 1,700 who signed up on the last day in 2008.
Auditor Vicky Dalton says a record 281,000 people are registered to vote in Spokane County. That's 26,000 more than four years ago.
