Suicide attempt stopped at Vancouver, Wash., jail
A Clark County Jail inmate is recovering at the hospital after attempting to commit suicide.

VANCOUVER, Wash. —
A Clark County Jail inmate is recovering at the hospital after attempting to commit suicide.
Sheriff's Sgt. Shane Gardiner says the 27-year-old man tried to hang himself using a sheet Thursday, but officers noticed the attempt and thwarted it.
The officers provided aid until paramedics arrived.
The inmate's name has not been released.
