One man is dead and another was taken to a hospital after witnesses tell the Coast Guard that the men's aluminum boat overturned off Seattle after being hit by a larger vessel.
KOMO-TV reports that Seattle fire officials say the two men were pulled from the water late Friday afternoon about a mile offshore.
They were taken to Shilshole Marina in Seattle where medics began CPR on the unconscious man but he was pronounced dead. The second man was alert and was taken to Harborview Medical Center as a precaution. The men were not immediately identified.
The Coast Guard and Seattle harbor police are investigating. Seattle police say the collision involved a yacht and a fishing boat.
