Portland boy, 13, drowns in Vancouver park

The sheriff's office in Clark County, Wash., says a 13-year-old boy from Portland, Ore., has drowned at a Vancouver, Wash., park.

VANCOUVER, Wash. —

The sheriff's office in Clark County, Wash., says a 13-year-old boy from Portland, Ore., has drowned at a Vancouver, Wash., park.

Officials say they responded to calls Saturday afternoon after the boy was spotted in the water at Kline Line Park.

He was transported to Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center in Vancouver before being transferred to Portland.

Authorities say Dimaggio M. Lee died at Emanuel Randal Children's Hospital later in the night.
