VASHON, Wash. —

An ultralight plane has crashed on Vashon Island southwest of Seattle and the pilot survived.

KING-TV reports ( http://is.gd/8Hfalx) the man was conscious when he was taken to a hospital.

The aircraft went down about 8 p.m. Friday in a field just south of the Vashon Municipal Airport.

The cause of the crash was not known.
