MOSES LAKE, Wash. —

The Grant County sheriff's office says a man shot and wounded by a sheriff's deputy responding to a domestic violence complaint is reported in serious but stable condition.

In a statement, the sheriff's office said the man wounded early Tuesday was hospitalized in Spokane. Neither the injured man nor the deputy was immediately identified.

Grant County spokesman Kyle Foreman says the shooting is under investigation by a team of officers representing area law enforcement agencies. Investigators served a search warrant on the residence involved.

Additional details were not immediately available.
