Grant County deputy shoots man at domestic call

A man has been hospitalized after he was shot by a Grant County sheriff's deputy responding to a domestic violence complaint.

MOSES LAKE, Wash. —

A man has been hospitalized after he was shot by a Grant County sheriff's deputy responding to a domestic violence complaint.

The man's name and condition have not been released.

Grant County spokesman Kyle Foreman told the Columbia Basin Herald ( http://bit.ly/SOk2qJ) that the shooting occurred when sheriff's deputies responded to the call at about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday. The man was taken to Samaritan Healthcare Center in Moses Lake.

The deputy was not injured and has not yet been identified.

Foreman says the shooting is under investigation by a team of officers representing law enforcement agencies throughout the region.
