KENNEWICK, Wash. —

City employees in Richland, Kennewick and Pasco have turned a blood drive into a friendly competition.

The Tri-City Herald reports ( http://is.gd/Kcw9kQ) they're seeing which group can donate the most blood to the Red Cross by the end of the month.

The city employees in the Tri-Cities are rolling up their sleeves in response to a Red Cross request for help because blood donations are down this summer nationwide.
