Hot weather is increasing the wildfire danger in Eastern Washington and giving Western Washington some of its highest temperatures of the summer.
The National Weather Service says highs will be in the 80s and 90s in Eastern Washington and climbing to 100 by Friday. Forecasters say it also will be breezy in places, a dangerous combination for wildfires.
In Western Washington, an offshore flow will push temperatures into the 90s Wednesday afternoon, and highs will remain in the 90s until the weekend when a push of marine air will likely bring some relief.
