Lewis County deputies find pipe bomb at Morton

MORTON, Wash. —

Lewis County sheriff's deputies were searching a suspect's camper at Morton for stolen property when they found a pipe bomb in his backpack.

A Washington State Patrol bomb squad was called Thursday night to destroy the pipe bomb.

The 46-year-old suspect was jailed for investigation of possessing an explosive device and taking some equipment and gear from a nearby business.
