The King County medical examiner's office says a 12-year-old Everett boy pulled from a lake earlier this week has died.

The medical examiner reported that Jeremiah Monroe Jr., died Wednesday at a Seattle hospital.

The Daily Herald reports that the boy was rushed to the hospital Monday after rescue crews found him underwater at Martha Lake, east of Mill Creek.

The medical examiner's office says he died of accidental drowning.
