HANSVILLE, Wash. —

Kitsap County is submitting government paperwork to officially take possession of the Point No Point lighthouse. Built in 1879 at Hansville, it's considered to be the oldest lighthouse on Puget Sound.

The Kitsap Sun reports (http://is.gd/zdeUSx) the county has leased the lighthouse from the Coast Guard since 1998. It's been maintained and renovated with help from the group Friends of Point No Point, a chapter of the U.S. Lighthouse Society.
