New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is flying to the West Coast for a three-day campaign swing.
Christie will make several stops in California to raise money for Mitt Romney on Wednesday and Thursday. He then heads to Seattle and Vancouver, Wash., to campaign for Washington Attorney General Rob McKenna.
Christie is also set to make a campaign stop in for GOP gubernatorial candidate Rick Hill before flying back to New Jersey on Friday.
The governor also was away last week campaigning for Romney.
The presumptive GOP presidential nominee will be in New Jersey on Wednesday for a fundraising stop of his own. But he and Christie won't cross paths.
There's been renewed chatter that Christie is still on Romney's short list as a potential running mate. Christie deflected such questions on Tuesday.
