SPOKANE, Wash. —

Gov. Chris Gregoire has ordered that flags at state buildings be lowered to half-staff in honor of the victims of a shooting at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin.

The flags, lowered Monday, will remain at half-staff until Friday, during the same timeframe President Barack Obama ordered for flags at the White House and other federal buildings.

A gunman killed six people Sunday in suburban Milwaukee before being shot to death by police. Police identified the gunman as Wade Michael Page, a 40-year-old Army veteran and former leader of a white supremacist heavy metal band.
