DARRINGTON, Wash. —

The vacant Old City Hall in Darrington could be reborn as a craft distillery, microbrewery and pub.

The city is leasing the two-story concrete block building for $1,000 a year to Bruce Blacker of Oso who plans to make vodka and rum distilled from Washington grains. He's looking for a brewer to make beer in the building.

The Daily Herald reports ( http://is.gd/Yms5DX) one of his neighbors will be Tony Gobroski who opened a book store and coffee shop last year around the corner. He says the former logging town with empty storefronts is slowly reinventing itself.
