LONGVIEW, Wash. —

A Washington state duck that had a 4-inch blow dart removed from its neck is back on a Longview lake.

City parks workers released the bird Monday, four days after it was patched up at Ocean Beach Veterinary Hospital in Longview.

Clinic technician Adrienne Myers told The Daily News ( http://is.gd/YmJkfh) it's a feisty duck that is healing up well and happy to go home.

The duck attracted attention for more than a month as people tried to help it. But it could still swim and fly, and it got away until it was finally netted July 24 by parks workers.
