A 46-year-old Vancouver man faces a 35-year prison term when he is sentenced Sept. 4 in Clark County Superior Court for child rape and molestation.

A judge found Michael Scott Norris guilty at a hearing Monday that parallels a federal court conviction and sentence.

The Columbian reports (http://is.gd/HwOk5V) Norris was a volunteer pastor and camp counselor at Open Bible Church in Portland at the time of his arrest in 2006. The case took years because of a dispute over evidence.
