Police say a driver in a Spokane parking lot became enraged and went for her pepper spray when an elderly man in front of her stopped his car Sunday to let his disabled wife out near the front door of a store.
Police say the angry driver approached the couple's car, screaming profanities at them, and pulled a can of pepper spray out of her purse and sprayed the 72-year-old disabled woman in the face.
The victim was treated by fire department medics.
Witnesses helped police identify the suspect, and an officer arrested the 49-year-old woman at her home. She was jailed for investigation of assault.
