A King County sheriff's deputy was injured Sunday night in a chase collision at Auburn.
The sheriff's office says a woman driving a small red car sped off recklessly when she spotted the deputy. She refused to stop and a chase on Highway 18 and Highway 167 ended when the fleeing car hit another car on an exit ramp.
The sheriff's office says the fleeing car spun around and the driver accelerated head-on into the pursuing deputy. He was taken to Valley General Hospital with neck and back injuries.
The woman was jailed for investigation of vehicular assault and felony eluding.
