Child Protective Services has taken custody of a 1-year-old girl who was left alone in a car while her mother was shopping in Spokane.
Witnesses called police Wednesday, and officers found the baby alone in the car with a window rolled down and the engine running. She appeared happy.
KHQ reports ( http://is.gd/dqj7dS) police estimated she was alone in the car for 10 or 15 minutes.
The mother said she left the baby with the father, but police weren't able to confirm that and called CPS.
