PORT ANGELES, Wash. —

Investigators have a unique clue as they look for a man who attacked a bicycle rider along the Olympic Discover Trail near Sequim (skwim).

A 22-year-old woman was knocked off her bike Saturday morning and attacked by a man wearing a Halloween mask.

She kicked and screamed until he fled.

KONP reports ( http://is.gd/FPlZN6) Clallam County sheriff's detectives found a knife the attacker may have left behind. The knife has an intricately carved handle featuring a hawk's head. And the blade also has engraving work.

The woman was not seriously injured.
