President Obama plans to spend the night at the Hilton Bellevue hotel after attending two fundraising events at the home of Costco co-founder Jim Sinegal on the east side of Lake Washington.
No public events were included in the president's brief Tuesday evening stop in the Seattle area. He flew to Seattle from Portland, Ore.
In brief remarks Tuesday evening, the president praised Sinegal and Costco, which he called "the story of what America is all about." He went on to describe in broad terms his differences with Republican opponent Mitt Romney.
The Seattle Times reports about 200 guests paid $5,000 or more for one event. Obama also met with about two dozen business leaders at a $35,800-per-person roundtable.
The president last visited Washington in May for fundraising.
