Bainbridge Island police say they have arrested a man in connection with at least one sexual assault. They are investigating whether he may have also been connected with two other groping attacks on the island.

KOMO-TV ( http://is.gd/517TIw) reports the man was arrested Monday night and booked into the Kitsap County Jail for investigation of third degree rape.

He's suspected in the assault of a 19-year-old woman, who said she was attacked around Sunday afternoon as she walked home from the grocery store. She fought him off and he ran away.

Investigators are looking into whether he was involved in another attack that happened a few minutes later.

Police say the man could be tied to other groping cases around the area.
