WENATCHEE, Wash. —

Searchers have mostly clear skies Tuesday as they look for a small plane that disappeared Monday on a flight from Tonasket to Sequim (skwim).

Washington Aviation Emergency Services spokeswoman Alice Fiman (FY'-man) says six search planes are flying out of Wenatchee.

Family members reported the plane missing when a Tonasket man failed to land at Sequim. The pilot is the only person on board the home-built plane.

Fiman says no emergency signal has been received. Civil Air Patrol planes are searching along the route a pilot would fly between Tonasket and Sequim, over the Cascades.
