Police say a 3-year-old Longview, Wash., girl who wanted some more french fries was badly burned when she went back into her family kitchen and pulled a skillet of hot cooking oil off the stove, scalding herself.

Patrolman Shawn Close tells the Daily News (http://is.gd/Nolbdg) that the child was burned on her arms and upper torso Monday night.

A fire department spokesman says she was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance.
