Leonard Meuse (mews) is back at work, making coffee and cooking for customers at Cafe Racer in Seattle.
It reopened Friday, seven weeks after the shooting that wounded him and killed four other people.
Among the returning customers were his parents and his brother, Dan Meuse, who was distraught by the news of the mass shooting in Colorado. He said he couldn't bear to look at the news after he heard about it.
The Cafe Racer has been freshly painted. Two officers gave the University District cafe a police presence, but it's mostly business as usual.
After shooting four people to death and wounding Meuse on May 30 at the cafe, gunman Ian Stawicki also killed a woman in a carjacking in Seattle before taking his own life.
