SEATTLE —

The Seattle Fire Department technical team has rescued a man who fell about 60 feet down a ravine at Carkeek Park.

Spokesman Kyle Moore says the 48-year-old man said he had been at the bottom all night.

He was complaining of leg pain when firefighters got to the scene around 11 a.m. Thursday. Moore says they stabilized him in a basket and used ropes to lift and carry him out.

Moore says the man was dehydrated but didn't appear to have any broken bones. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center and is expected to be OK.
