GOLDENDALE, Wash. —

The Washington Transportation Department expects to reopen Highway 14 in the Columbia River Gorge near Goldendale by 5 p.m. Monday.

Spokeswoman Heidi Sause says crews have cleared most of the debris left by a mudslide Saturday caused by a heavy thunderstorm. She says they are making repairs to about 600 feet of damaged pavement.
