MARYSVILLE, Wash. —

The Snohomish County medical examiner says a 26-year-old man found dead in a Marysville, Wash., mobile home is a homicide victim and his 70-year-old grandmother committed suicide.

The medical examiner's office said Friday that Carrington Michael Costa died of multiple gunshot wounds to the head. Shirley Champagne died from a close-range gunshot wound to the head.

The Daily Herald reports ( http://is.gd/Sykc6p) that Shirley Champagne's 82-year-old husband called 911 to report finding the bodies in the living room on July 6.

Marysville police Lt. Darin Rasmussen says detectives are awaiting lab test results to confirm what they believe happened.

Police say Costa recently moved to Washington from the Pensacola, Fla., area to live with his grandparents. Court records show he had a history of mental health problems.
