Yakima, Wash., authorities say a 24-year-old Tacoma man who decided to go for an impromptu swim in the Naches River has drowned.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reports that Martin Diego was apparently driving through Yakima with two companions Tuesday evening when he decided to stop and swim.
A friend, Breanna Marquardt, says when Diego didn't return after 10 to 15 minutes she and his brother decided to call police.
