WOODLAND, Wash. —

A police officer suffered minor injuries but his patrol car was totaled in a head-on collision in Woodland.

Police say the oncoming driver may have fallen asleep Tuesday evening when her SUV crossed the centerline. She was wearing a seat belt and her air bag deployed. She was not injured.

Officer Terry Casey also was wearing a seat belt, and his air bag deployed. He was treated at a hospital for bumps, scrapes and a sprained wrist.
