Authorities say an Alaska Airlines plane blew out two tires as it landed at John Wayne Airport in Southern California.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor says the right main gear tires on Alaska Flight 508, a Boeing 737-800 that had taken off from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, blew out during the Thursday afternoon landing at the airport in Santa Ana.
Gregor says the FAA is investigating what caused the blowout.
There were no injuries reported and the plane landed safely.
Messages left with Alaska Airlines and airport officials were not immediately returned.
