KENNEWICK, Wash. —

A Pasco police dog found a robbery suspect hiding up a tree at a Kennewick golf course.

Police searched the Tri-City Country Club early Wednesday for a man who fled in a stolen car after he was caught taking old car batteries from behind a Walmart.

The Tri-City Herald reports (http://is.gd/TyIZ2S) the police dog named Solorio initially alerted officers by stopping at a big tree on the golf course. Then the K-9 unit searched the rest of the golf course. Solorio went back to the tree and sat down. Officers looked up and found the suspect hiding in the top of the tree.
