UNION GAP, Wash. —

A vacant Yakima County jail building could become the new City Hall for Union Gap where city workers have been forced to evacuate their building because of a mold problem.

The Yakima Herald-Republic reports ( http://is.gd/4becZ0) county and city officials are talking about a deal for the former Restitution Center. The county tried to sell the building a year ago for $2.9 million but had no takers.

Municipal court and other Union Gap workers have moved out of their City Hall because of nausea blamed on toxic mold.
