SEATTLE —

Police are checking surveillance video to see if they can identify vandals who sprayed graffiti in red paint on St. James Cathedral in Seattle.

It was seen by people arriving for Easter services.

While crews with spray washers quickly went to work removing it, Catholic Archbishop Peter Sartain said it made him sad but church members forgive the vandals and are praying for them.
