An Everett man who has been accused of stabbing lawyers with pencils will be restrained to a chair with leather cuffs and belts during his murder trial.

The Everett Herald reports that (http://bit.ly/HpBIHF) 28-year-old Joshua Monson will also wear an electric stun cuff that corrections officers can activate if he gets out of line.

Snohomish County Superior Court Judge Larry McKeeman found good cause to have Monson restrained during the upcoming trial.

Prosecutors asked for the extra security measures because Monson is accused of stabbing three of his attorneys with smuggled pencils and one lawyer with the attorney's own pen.

Monson is charged with first-degree murder after the shooting death of Brian Jones in 2011.
