SPOKANE, Wash. —

Spokane firefighters evacuated a group of mall walkers Friday morning as the department responded to a report of smoke in NorthTown mall.

Assistant Chief Brian Schaeffer told The Spokesman-Review ( http://is.gd/03uHki) firefighters were looking for the source of the smoke about 7 a.m., but there was no visible fire.
