Everything ducky for Snow-Goose fest
A mallard joins a trumpeter swan and a snow goose feeding in a muddy field on Fir Island in the Skagit Valley. The birds are wintering here, and they draw the bird watchers, so Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 25 and 26, is the seventh annual Port Susan Snow Goose and Birding Festival, with tours, speakers, art, food, music and more. Due to an editing error, a previous version of this story said the Port Susan Snow Goose and Birding Festival was to be held Friday and Saturday, Feb. 24-25.
