TEMPE, Ariz. —

Alex Earl and Janae Fulcher scored 11 points each, and Arizona State held off a furious Washington State comeback for a 47-42 Senior Day victory Saturday.

Kali Bennett added nine points and five blocked shots for the Sun Devils (18-8, 9-6 Pac-12), playing the final home game in the careers of seniors Earl, Bennett, Kimberly Brandon, Olivia Major and Haley Parsons.

Sage Romberg led the Cougars (10-17, 4-11) with 11 points. Jazmine Perkins added eight points and 13 rebounds.

The Sun Devils led 43-25 with 6:50 to play before Washington State went on a 17-1 run, capped by a Romberg 3-pointer with 32 seconds left, to get within 44-42. But Brandi Thomas missed a tying layup after an Earl turnover, and Earl and Bennett hit free throws to seal the win.

Arizona State took sole possession of third place in the Pac-12 when Oregon State lost to California later Saturday.
