Pasco homeowners can keep chickens

Homeowners in the eastern Washington city of Pasco will be allowed to have chicken hens on their property, inside city limits.

PASCO, Wash. —

Homeowners in the eastern Washington city of Pasco will be allowed to have chicken hens on their property, inside city limits.

KNDU reports the ( http://bit.ly/tgdbgd) the Pasco City Council passed new ordinance Monday night. It applies to residential lots that are at least 5,000 square feet.

Homeowners will be allowed to have up to three chicken hens, with a total of six animals, including chickens, rabbits, dogs and cats.

The council says the pens or coops must be in the back yard, and must be at least ten feet away from all property lines.
